Cross Is on it's Best

The UCI just announce the Cross points list, and of course that Sdanek Stybar was on top , the surprise was the americans Tim J and J Powers in fourth and fifth , with no other that Niels Alberts and Svan Nys behind ; that's great for american cross, specially with worlds coming to Kentucky in 2012.

In boulder the season is going well for the Avon pride Jake ( J dubbs ) Wells , get in top ten in both races that were hold in boulder two weeks ago , the first day earning a 1oth and 6th the second day .

For my self things are going well , the firsts couple of races as cat 3 have being hard , but I think that I should be able to get faster and better in the upcoming events ;specially when I have a teammate and a team competition to keep on top ten .

Cross is back !!!!!

So cross is back ,that means that I have to start blogging about cross , the season is hot already with Stybar killing it like always ; I my self been racing just enough only 5 races , with two podiums so far ; I just love cross and I will start blogging all the euro action for you ( if anybody reads this) later .

Valverde is out for doping

The world of cycling just got another big hit . Alegandro Valverde just got a suspended for two year , for his connection with the Operacion Puerto , so Valverde's suspension started Jan 1st 2010 , that means that the races he did this year will be striped from him . Well we hope that this great sport finally will come clean , and the best days still ahead of us ......

THE BIG HITTERS GET READY FOR THE GIRO

The race favorites spoke about their Giro goals ; clearly the Italians will try to do anything to win , some of the favorite Italians talked about their chance . Like Damiano Cunego ( who won the race in 2004) said that he would really like to win his home race again, but with his lack of climbing abilities he might not have a chance, his hopes to repeat the 2004 are slim . Old timers like Simoni and Garzelli also talked about their hopes for this year giro , both of then would like to win as well but their lack of a good team will not help and in the team time trail the race might be over .To tell the truth the only one with any chance is last year 5th place Ivan Basso , (who won the race in 2006) said that he is back in the shape he wanted to be last years ,so he's hopes for this year are pretty high . The other race favorites like Cadel Evans , spoke about their chance , but being realistic, said that they will take the race day by day . In the end we hope to see a great show and a bunch of fireworks on the mountain stages .

THE GIRO IS A GIRO AWAY!!!!!

The Giro is less than a week away , and all the teams are ready , well kind of ready for some . Couple days ago the cycling community found out, that Franco Pelizzotti is not going to be able to race this year edition ; the reason is that his biological passport is inconclusive . What that exactly means? , I'm not sure , but it will not let Franco race , and that is a problem Franco was the best hope for Liquigas to win the race , Now the team had to call other Italian star Vicenso Nibali , who claimed that he can fit the spot that his team mate left behind.
We hope that all that is just a misunderstood, and Franco can go ahead on the tour , where last year he got the polka dot jersey .

EVANS & GILBERT CAN WIN CLASSICS JUST LIKE FABIAN

After Fabian Cancellara storm the early spring classics , winning three of the at the row ; other famous names are starting to shine. For example Phillipe Gilbert , who won the very prestigious Amstel Gold Race , with a great sprint to the finish , after the group caught the brakeaway , couple riders tried to go , but not of them had what it takes , with a few hundred yards to go, a rider went clear , and the only one that follow was Gilbert , soon after Gilbert saw that he was the only one to do so, he just sprint to the finish . follow by Enrico Gaspparato from Astana and the surprise Ryder Hesjedal from Garmin .
The second name to shine on the north , was Cadel Evans , who won the Fleche Wallone ; After the group caught the guys at front in the huy climb , Igor Anthon went on the attack follow by country man Alberto Contador , the two open a clear gap , everybody thought that the race was over , but Evans responded in the hardest part of the climb ,even though Contador made a final attack, he ran out of steam with a few yards to go, and got pass by Evans and Rodrigez ,so he had to please his self with taking third place . Some great races still to come , lest hope that they are just as exciting as the ones we had witness .

FABIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today we saw one of the best races ever , what a show by those two power houses , Tom Boonen and the champion Fabian Cancellara , Like Boonen said " i mean he is the world champ , if he has the gap on you is over , he was going 55 kph there is no way i can match that . To me thats the words of another great champion after being defeat by a better rider , fabian made his first move on the mollenberg but Boonen hang on to it , after that almost everybody saw that Boonen was on the red zone , he was having problems with his breathing and his face just said it all , right after the Kapelmuur started Fabian made his second move and that was it in less that a k he got a 20 sec over Boonen ,and the gap just grew every k ,all the way until the finish where like last week he solo and salute all the fans . After all that being said the only thing i have let to say is what a race , next week Boonen better go fo all the marbles .

PIPO POZZATO IS OUT OF FLANDERS !!!!!!

Today was announced that the Italian champ Fillipo Pozzato is not going to race on this year tour the Flanders , afetr getting a cold last week on the E3 Prijs , he thought that the cold was just something of couple days , but last night it got even worse, now he has to go back to Italy for a two weeks recovery to hope get ready for Paris Roubaix , which is the biggest one day classic . Well we hope that Pipo gets better ,so he can give us a great show .

BIG FABIAN TAKES ONE FOR THE AGES !!!!!!!

That was the final words of the narrator of this year ES Prijs Vlaanderen - Harenbelke . After an amazing victory over Marco Antonio Flecha and Tom Boonen , fabian seems to be in o great shape for next tour de flanders , right after tornado Tom put the hammer down in one of the most steep hilsl on the race; just Flecha and Fabian could hang on , a three man brake way that made it all the way . Italian national champ Fillipo Pozato tried to bridge back to them , as soon as they saw him they lifted the pace even harder so he could not bridge to them , with k in a half left to go fabian attack his companions and drop them , at first look seem like a simple attack , but not at all, he attack right before a really technical corner where he new that Tom had to brake , and so he did that open a big enough gap for him to celebrate a solo win all the to the
finish line , with Boonen taking second and Flecha third .

Freire Wins Milan San Remo

Today after 289 km of racing Rabobank Oscar Freire Gomez ,won his first ever Milan San Remo ,after following the Liquigas train he just hammer in the sprint taking Boonen and Bennati , he just look great , he got the legs and just won in the old fashion style.

Boonen nails stage 2 in Tirreno Adriatico

Today Tom Boonen won the field sprint in the second stage of of this year Tirreno Adriatico . With just 3k to go the field catch the four man brake away that was on the scape for almost 150 k . With a katusha rider making his las shot for a win ,but the field got him right back , after that the team Liquigas got to the front to control the sprint , but Tornado Tom positioned his self right behind Danielle Benati , whit Roby Mc on his wheel , with just half a k the sprint began , Tom went around Benati , Roby just did not have anything just a Rabobank rider came close and Tom took it , Well i guess that Tyler Ferrar was nowhere to be seen , so missed out , The sprints are just not the same with out Mark The Rocket Cavendish .

ALBERTO CONTADOR !!!!!!!

Today Alberto Contador won the first mountain stage if the Paris Nice . with an attack that only Alejandro Valverde , could respond , this way Alberto got the g c , and he does not have any intention of giving it back. The american teams did alright with David Miller IN 9TH position and the shaq with Levi loosing a hole 1:39 to Contador i wonder if he still a contender, just time will say .

'STYBAR PROVES THAT HE IS NUMBER ONE"

Today Sdenek Stybar ,won the superprestige ,after battle it out and proving that he is the new king. He defeat ex world champ Niels Abert ,after he had a mechanical and had to stop on the pits , he chased a group with Albert and Nys ,Nys had a bad crash and that was the end of his race , after that Stybar just had to chase Albert, and oh he did not just catch him but right after catching him he put an attack dropping Albert but Albert got back but right in that moment Stybar hit him one more time and that was it. I guess that is like when the tour champ wins the last time trial , Stybar won the last race to prove that his victory on the worlds was not just luck ," HE IS NUMBER ONE"

Beth's new ride , we just go it today and is great , She can't wait to go this weekend to Arizona and ride it.

SNOWSHOE RACE #2

T he second of the Beaver Creek races was a blast almost too perfect , but the problem was that I hurt my shin muscle so that put me out of the podium and that hurts a little more, but is alright i just have to take a week or more off to get better so no biggy ,Next race is gonna be crazy.

'"ALBERT" ,ALBERT", 'ALBERT!.

Niels Albert , took a great victory today on Holland . After Zdenek Stybar loose his grip in a really muddy corner ,the Belgian just put the hammer down ,and Stybar could not recover and end up taking 2nd place ,the race was really good with a technical course ,wet ,and full of power houses . to all of us surprise Jonathan Page took 8th , which is great . The rest of the Americans did not do so well . with Johnson in 32nd , and his team mates in 40th and 51st ,mean while Trebon did not finish the race , well hopefully they do a better job in the world cup next weekend .

COLORADO SNOWSHOE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Today we went all the way up to Tennessee Pass Nordic Center.To race the Colorado champs , i my self took first place in the 5k course , it was by far the hardest course ever ( Bruce K ) style , so my time was 47:26 official . But the real race was the 10 k ,because it came to a sprint finish by old timer Bernie Boettcher and new blood Logan Wealing , Logan took first by a hair ,in third place 3 seconds behind my boy John Tribbia , it was the race of a life time ! ,hard , long ,and with a lots to climb .
Now i have to focus in the next race Feb ,7 .2010 , i hope to see more people in the 5 k
" Anita Ortiz took second in the woman's 10 k congrats, first place i don't have the name but as soon i get it i'll post it.

SRAM MAY GET THE FIRST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Sram may get their first world championship tittle , if the Czech rider Svanek Styber , wins the worlds the American parts manufacture may see glory in the world , wish is a win for all Americans , with Sram being one of the companies with more pro sponsorship i think that is time for them to get their hands in a medal in cross, so my best for Stybar and let's go America.

Niels Albert may be out of Roubaix world cup

World champ Niels Abert may not race the world cup that will be held on Roubaix, France.Albert fractured a rib on the Belgian nat's championship , where he was knock down by a drunk spectator .Albert said that the Roubaix comes to soon for him, and the chances for him racing are 50 % , in the case so he would just do it for his world ranking , training has been hard for him but in the climbs the pain is just too much,with a 20 points lead over Svanek Stybar ,and 80 over Nys , he may loose his first place to Stybar if he wins Roubaix he gets 80 points so Albert will monitor his pain and just time will say the last word.

ELITE US TEAM FOR THE WORLDS .

The US team for the worlds championships has been announced , for men's a woman's ,is gonna be held in Tabor Czech Republic ,this gonna one if not the hardest race for all this fellas , with home favorite Zvanek Stybar , and the always good and dangerous Belgians ,like Abert , and Nys .the team is gonna try to place in the podium and help each other in the girls team maybe help out real contender Katie Compton well here is the list of victims

Well looks like the new ASTANA team comes with a new bike sponsor oh should i say the old sponsor Specialized , well i think that is a good change , but knowing the huge ego that the speci boys have, if they win the tour o man all the bike magazines will have so much specialized promotions , that i may fell like buying one hahah. so i hope that alberto kicks lance on the nuts but specialized maybe not but what can i do? .
